The Riu Palace in Aruba reminds me of a Las Vegas hotel. It actually looks like a palace from the outside.
Our room was on the 9th floor. Room 917. I love to be on the upper floors. It’s a good way to be guaranteed a great view, and what a view we had!
The room had a step down into a living area. The Balcony was huge. Not all of the balconies are as large as the one we had. We set on our balcony and enjoy the view when on vacation, so this is a big deal for us.
Warning: the beds are hard. If you don’t like a hard mattress all you have to do is call the front desk and ask for a mattress topper. They had one on our bed with turn down service and I slept like a baby.
We had a wonderful time at the Riu Palace. The food was plentiful, the drinks were tasty, and there was nightly entertainment. We spent most of our time out exploring during the day so didn’t participate with any of the daily activities provided by the hotel.
The Riu Palace is an All-Inclusive Resort is in the High Rise area. When you walk to the beach and turn left it takes you to the Westin Hotel. If you go right there is a sidewalk that goes in front of all the other hotels on the beach. We visited all of the hotel casinos in the high rise area. If you are planning a trip to Aruba I highly recommend staying at the Riu Palace. We loved it! If you would like to see more pictures of the resort you can check them out on my flickr page. There is a link on my sidebar.
